I practice a variety of massages from gentle and soothing aromatherapy, holistic CLINICAL massage to help ease paiN, relaxing Thai Foot & Indian Head massage and the complete chill-out experience of Hot Stone Fusion massage.
Massage manipulates the layers of muscle and connective tissue to promote relaxation, enhance function and aid healing. It can help with both physical pain relief and management as well as with psychological problems such as anxiety and depression.
As a complementary therapy, massage looks at the ‘whole person’ rather than just the problem presenting. Often pain can be referred and, if relevant, I will work on deactivating ‘trigger points’ in one area of your body to relieve pain elsewhere.
Having worked as a Personal Assistant for over 20 years I retrained as a massage therapist over 15 years ago and undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training on a regular basis, notably with the Jing Institute in Brighton.
Having experience with a wide variety of clients and a large toolbox of techniques, I also incorporate my massage and nutrition knowledge into aftercare advice and tips. I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP).
