I first became interested in massage when I suffered from migraines in my mid 20's, finding massage helped ease tension in my body, relieving the pain. After 20 years as a Personal Assistant, I decided to follow my dream and train as an aromatherapy massage therapist, going on to study Indian head and deep tissue massage. Much of my continuing professional development training now takes place at the renowned Jing Institute in Brighton.
I founded Pure Bliss Massage 15 years ago, treating clients from my therapy room in the attic of my home in South Bristol, as well as massaging staff at Aardman Animations. During the past 15 years I have continued studying and learning new skills and techniques, including advanced clinical techniques, table Thai, holistic facials, Thai foot massage and hot stone fusion.
I trained as a nutritional therapist over 3 years at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and I also like to help clients with tips on diet and lifestyle.
I love learning more about the body and how massage can help my clients and myself. The more I learn, the more I want to learn - it's like doing a never-ending jigsaw puzzle and every new piece of the puzzle starts to fill in the bigger picture. More than anything, applying that learning to my treatments and seeing the difference it makes to my clients is what makes me love what I do.
